Train stopped for a feeding bottle

30 Oct

There was a flurry of activity at the Madurai Railway junction on Tuesday night.

An express train that was to depart from the station was stopped; railway officials and an RPF constable were searching the railway track. All for retrieving a feeding bottle.

It was just a few seconds before the scheduled departure of the Tuticorin-Mysore Express, Station Manager N.D. Prem Kumar noticed a man near an air-conditioned coach anxiously looking for something under the coach. When he understood that his baby’s feeding bottle had fallen on the track, without wasting time, Mr. Prem Kumar asked the Deputy Station Manager Vasudevan to instruct the locopilot not to move the train until further instructions.

Within few seconds, they found the bottle lying near the track. The train left the station after the bottle was retrieved.
