While the announcement from the railway minister has come after days have passed when the Prime Minister’s Office had showed their concern about the slow spending pace by Suresh.
Replying to that concern, Suresh added that the possibility of easily surpassing the target was certainly very high as the projected railway budget defiantly failed to highlight the Dedicated Freight Corridor project.
However, Prabhu further added that the above mentioned project is the same project for which the Cabinet recently announced to give Rs 82,000 crore.
In the six months, the railway department had already issues an amount of Rs 15,000 crore contracts of the current financial year and the rest will be coming soon, Suresh added.
