Railways to give passengers only confirm tickets now

Soon, waiting train tickets will be the things of the past. Reportedly, Railways will give only confirmed tickets to passengers in ‘Suvidha trains’. These trains will come into force in the first week of July. The move will prove a big boon for all of them who visit their home town during festival seasons like Dussehra, Holi and Diwali. It is being said that passengers will get only confirmed tickets in ‘Suvidha trains’, which will be started soon in place of premium trains to meet with the heavy rush. As per a Hindi Daily report, to get confirm tickets in these ‘Suvidha trains’, a facility of degrading and upgrading tickets will be there.

Suppose someone will take a ticket of the first AC and it will not be confirmed, then the Railways will arrange him a confirmed ticket in other classes like AC second one. Similarly the rule applies with all other categories. Only the travellers will have to do is to write this option while filing the reservation form at the time of the booking. What is ‘Suvidha trains’

The Railway Ministry recently said on that Suvidha trains with dynamic fares will be introduced in July. In these trains, there will not be any downward movement of the fare This category will have three variants viz. Rajdhani, Duronto and the ones like Mail and Express trains. Railways sources said that only confirmed and RAC tickets will be issued for these trains and there will be no waiting list. No concession will be available on these trains. “The maximum Advance Reservation period will be 30 days while the minimum Advance Reservation period will be of 10 days. Zonal Railways may decide the exact ARP for each train within this limit”, statement from Railways said. OneIndia News
